BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-LC-BO cavo ottico attivo SFP28–SFP28, 25 m, color menta

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-LC-BO is an active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 connectors on both ends and a 25 m length in mint colour. Designed for 25G data centre interconnects, server racks and switch-to-switch links, this lightweight 0.15 kg cable carries optical signals over multi-mode fibre and conforms to SFP28 electrical and mechanical interfaces. It supports high-speed Ethernet and fibre-channel applications that use SFP28 transceivers and is suitable for installations that require a flexible, low-latency optical link between SFP28 ports.

Advantages

This active optical cable provides a compact, single-cable solution that integrates transmitter and receiver modules at each end to simplify short-reach optical connections. Compared with equivalent copper assemblies, the AOC delivers lower weight and reduced cable bulk for cleaner cable management in dense rack environments. The 25 m length allows placement of equipment across adjacent racks or within larger rack aisles while maintaining 25 Gbit/s throughput over a multi-mode fibre path. The mint-coloured jacket makes the cable easy to identify during installation and maintenance.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Interconnects between switches and top-of-rack switches in data centres
• Connections between servers and storage systems with SFP28 ports
• High-bandwidth links for 25G Ethernet or Fibre Channel over Ethernet
• Patch and trunk runs across adjacent racks or within equipment aisles

Key specifications

• Cable length: 25 m
• Connector type: SFP28 to SFP28
• Supported line rate: up to 25 Gbit/s
• Optical medium: active multi-mode optical cable with integrated transceivers
• Weight: 0.15 kg
• Product colour: mint

How to use

Power off or follow hot-plugging guidance of your network equipment before inserting the SFP28 modules. Align each SFP28 connector with the corresponding port and push gently until the connector latches into place. Verify link status and negotiated speed through your switch or server management interface. To remove, release the latch mechanism and pull the connector straight out. Follow any platform-specific instructions for transceiver compatibility and diagnostic monitoring.

Recommendations

Use this 25 m active optical cable for short- to medium-reach links inside data centre environments, avoiding tight bends and mechanical strain on the cable ends. Ensure endpoints officially support SFP28 AOC modules or allow third-party AOCs, and monitor link diagnostics for optimal performance.
