BlueOptics SFP28 cavo ottico attivo UACC-AOC-SFP28-25M-BO, 25 m, SFP28–SFP28, aqua

BlueOptics UACC-AOC-SFP28-25M-BO is a 25 m active optical cable with SFP28 connectors on both ends, designed for low-latency, high-bandwidth direct connections between SFP28 ports. The aqua-coloured multi-mode fibre assembly integrates active transmitters and receivers in each connector to support 25GbE and InfiniBand-compatible links over a 25 metre channel, making it suitable for short-reach interconnects in racks and rows within data centres and high-performance network environments.

Advantages

The active optical cable delivers a compact, plug-and-play solution that reduces electromagnetic interference and heat compared with equivalent copper direct-attach cables. Its integrated optics enable reliable 25 Gbit/s signalling over 25 m while maintaining low weight and flexible routing. The standard SFP28 form-factor ensures compatibility with equipment that accepts SFP28 transceivers using MSA-compliant connections.

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your network devices until the latch engages. Ensure both endpoints support 25 Gbit/s operation and that device firmware accepts active optical modules in SFP28 ports. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain; maintain the manufacturer’s recommended bend radius for multi-mode fibre. Power and configuration of connected devices follow normal procedures for establishing 25GbE or InfiniBand links.

Recommendations

Before deployment, verify compatibility with your switch or server vendor regarding support for active optical cables in SFP28 ports. For best performance, avoid sharp bends, secure the cable to prevent movement in high-vibration environments, and keep connector endfaces clean when connecting or reconnecting.
