Boccola passacavo Rittal 4317.000, polipropilene (PP), bianco, diametro 21 mm

The Rittal 4317.000 cable grommet is a white polypropylene (PP) insert designed to protect and organize single-cable entries with a 21 mm diameter. It is intended for use where neat cable routing, mechanical protection and electrical insulation are required, such as control cabinets, electrical enclosures and industrial panels. The thermoplastic construction provides resistance to wear and typical environmental factors encountered inside cabinets and distribution boxes.

Advantages

Made from durable polypropylene, this cable grommet offers basic mechanical protection for cable sheaths and reduces abrasion at entry points. Its 21 mm aperture is sized for single-cable passes, allowing a secure fit and tidy appearance. The material provides electrical insulation and is resistant to common oils and greases found in industrial environments. The simple push-in design enables quick installation without special tools.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

This grommet is designed for single-cable routing with a nominal 21 mm diameter and may not be suitable when multiple cables must pass through a single opening or when a larger sealing or strain-relief capability is required. It is a basic thermoplastic insert and does not provide high levels of chemical resistance, extreme temperature tolerance, or certified IP sealing on its own for harsh outdoor exposures without additional sealing measures.

How to use

Select an appropriately sized knockout or drill an opening matching the grommet outer diameter, then press the polypropylene insert into the panel aperture until it seats flush. Route the cable through the 21 mm opening, ensuring the cable sheath is protected from sharp panel edges. For improved sealing or strain relief, combine the grommet with additional seals or cable glands as required by the specific installation and environmental demands.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

Use the grommet for indoor cabinet and panel installations where a neat, insulated single-cable pass is required. Inspect panel edges and combine with supplementary seals or glands when environmental protection or mechanical strain relief is necessary.
