C2G cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand 2 m LC SC OFNR giallo

The C2G InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 2 m LC SC OFNR Yellow (model 85587) is a 2 m single-mode fibre patch cable with LC to SC termination designed for high-bandwidth Gigabit and InfiniBand applications. The cable uses a 9/125 µm core and supports full-duplex communication, offering long-distance transmission with low insertion loss. The jacket material is Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH/LS0H) to reduce harmful gases and smoke in case of fire, and the cable is immune to electrical interference.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable provides cost-effective high bandwidth and transmission rates over longer distances while maintaining signal integrity. The LSZH jacket lowers smoke and halogen emissions under extreme temperatures, reducing the release of toxic and corrosive gases compared with conventional plastic-jacketed cables. A patented injection-moulded connector structure increases durability against pulls, strains and impacts during installation. Each unit is 100% optically inspected and tested for insertion loss prior to shipment.

How to use

Connect the LC end to the LC port of your device and the SC end to the corresponding SC port on the other device or patch panel. Ensure connectors are clean before mating to avoid increased insertion loss. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension; the cable is designed with a pull-proof jacket but should still be handled according to standard fibre handling practices. Verify link status and test for expected optical performance after installation.

Recommendations

Use this 2 m LC–SC single-mode cable for long-reach, high-speed interconnections in data centers or network closets. Maintain connector cleanliness, avoid bending below the minimum bend radius, and choose LSZH cable where reduced smoke and halogen emissions are required.
