Case elettrico Rittal 1540.000, armadio in acciaio IP55, 600×400×120 mm

Rittal 1540.000 is a compact steel electrical enclosure with IP55 protection, sized 600×400×120 mm for indoor and sheltered outdoor installations. The enclosure is designed to house control components, terminal blocks and small distribution equipment. A gland plate and flexible interior layout enable straightforward cable entry and efficient use of internal space while maintaining protection against dust and water jets.

Advantages

The steel construction provides mechanical robustness and good electromagnetic shielding for sensitive electronics. IP55 rating ensures protection from dust and low-pressure water jets, suitable for industrial and commercial environments. The integrated gland plate simplifies cable routing and sealing. The compact footprint makes the enclosure suitable where space is limited but reliable protection and orderly component installation are required.

How to use

Install the enclosure on a suitable flat vertical surface using appropriate fasteners for the mounting substrate. Before wiring, open the enclosure and plan component placement to ensure clear cable paths and cooling space around heat-generating parts. Use the gland plate to route and seal incoming cables; select compatible cable glands to maintain the IP55 rating. Secure internal devices to the mounting surface or optional mounting rails, making sure to observe correct clearances and earth/grounding practices. After wiring, verify seals and close the enclosure door to restore protection.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term performance, select cable glands and fasteners rated for IP55, maintain a clean gasket surface before closing, and avoid installing heat sources without adequate ventilation. Periodically inspect seals and mounting hardware for corrosion or damage, especially in sheltered outdoor locations.
