Cassetta fanout ACT High Density 24 fibre MTP®-MPO Low Loss OM4

The ACT High Density fanout cassette provides a compact 24-fiber MTP®-MPO solution engineered for low loss OM4 connectivity in structured cabling environments. Constructed from durable metal and offered in black, pine, and white finishes, the cassette is designed for 1U rack installation with a shallow depth of 110 mm and a lightweight build of 250 g to maximize usable rack space in telecommunications rooms and data centers.

Advantages

The fanout cassette delivers consistent low insertion loss and return loss for MPO/MTP® multi-fiber links on OM4 fiber, supporting high-density deployments where signal integrity matters. Its metal housing provides physical protection and helps maintain connector alignment, while the compact 1U footprint and 110 mm depth enable installation in racks with limited clearance. Available color options aid visual management and labeling of fiber runs.

Key specifications

How to use

Install the cassette into a standard 19-inch rack space occupying a single rack unit (1U). Align the cassette with the rack mounting points and secure it with appropriate screws or fasteners. Connect MTP®/MPO trunks or harnesses to the cassette front panel, ensuring connectors are clean and properly oriented. Route individual fiber pigtails or breakout cables to patch panels or equipment ports as required, taking care to maintain bend radius and use protective routing to avoid stress on the fibers.

Recommendations

Before installation, inspect and clean all connector endfaces using approved fiber cleaning tools to ensure low loss connections. Use fiber management accessories to maintain minimum bend radius and avoid excessive cable compression. Match OM4 fiber links and MPO polarity schemes to system requirements and verify link performance with appropriate test equipment after deployment.
