Cavo AOC BlueOptics BO353503J25M-BO 25 m SFP+

The BlueOptics BO353503J25M-BO 25m SFP+ AOC cable is a factory-terminated active optical cable designed to deliver high-bandwidth, low-latency connections for short-reach data center and enterprise network links. With SFP+ connectors on both ends and a 25‑metre length, the cable supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet and compatible high-speed interconnects between servers, switches and storage systems while minimising electromagnetic interference and signal loss typical of copper alternatives.

Advantages

This AOC cable offers consistent 10 Gb/s performance over a 25 m span with low power consumption compared with equivalent copper transceivers. The pre-terminated SFP+ connectors eliminate field terminations and reduce installation time. Because the optical medium is immune to EMI and provides galvanic isolation, it is suitable for dense rack environments and helps maintain signal integrity in mixed-equipment installations. The single-cable, all-in-one design reduces clutter and supports straightforward hot-plugging into compatible SFP+ ports.

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into a compatible SFP+ port on the network devices until the latch engages; ensure devices are powered and that SFP+ ports support AOC modules. The cable is plug-and-play with many common networking devices that accept standard SFP+ form-factor transceivers. Avoid excessive bending near the connector ends and route the cable using appropriate cable management to prevent strain. If link negotiation does not occur automatically, verify device port settings and firmware compatibility.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use this AOC within its specified 25 m range and avoid sharp bends or compression. Confirm compatibility with the SFP+ ports of your switches and servers before deployment and maintain tidy routing to preserve airflow and cooling in dense racks.
