Cavo AOC BlueOptics G59ELKU-BO OSFP QSFP InfiniBand 3m aqua

The AOC Cable BlueOptics G59ELKU-BO OSFP QSFP InfiniBand 3m Aqua is a 3-meter active optical cable designed for high-speed short-reach connections in data center and networking environments. Featuring OSFP and QSFP-compatible terminations and BlueOptics AOC technology, this cable supports optical transmit and receive functions for reliable data transport with reduced power consumption. The aqua-coloured jacket provides visual identification while conforming to standard MSA-compatible QSFP/OSFP form-factor interfaces used in InfiniBand and 40GBASE-SR4 applications.

Advantages

The AOC design delivers low-latency, high-bandwidth links with improved energy efficiency compared with equivalent copper assemblies and enables secure optical transmission across a 3 m span. MSA-compatible OSFP and QSFP connections ensure broad interoperability with equipment that accepts these form factors. The pre-terminated optical cable eliminates field termination, simplifies installation, and reduces potential signal loss points associated with mechanical connectors.

How to use

Install the cable by aligning and inserting the OSFP and QSFP ends into the corresponding ports on your network equipment until they seat according to the device manufacturer’s guidance. Ensure both ends are connected to compatible OSFP or QSFP ports and that devices are powered down or configured for hot-plugging per vendor recommendations. Verify link status and data rates in the host equipment management interface after connection. Avoid bending the cable beyond manufacturer-specified bend radii and route it to prevent mechanical strain.

Recommendations

Use this AOC for short-reach optical interconnects within racks or across adjacent racks. Confirm connector compatibility with your hardware platform and check that the device firmware supports MSA-compliant QSFP/OSFP AOC modules. Store and handle the cable by its connector housings and avoid exposure to sharp edges or excessive tensile forces.
