Cavo AOC InfiniBand/fibra ottica BlueOptics 15 m QSFP56–QSFP56 ciano

The BlueOptics InfiniBand/fibre optic AOC cable is an active optical cable with QSFP56 connectors at both ends, designed for high-speed links in data centers and enterprise networks. With a 15 m length and cyan housing, this pre-terminated AOC provides a lightweight, low-latency physical connection between QSFP56 ports for switch-to-switch, server-to-switch or storage interconnects where reliable throughput and signal integrity are required.

Advantages

The active optical construction reduces weight and power loss compared with equivalent copper assemblies while maintaining signal quality over 15 m. Native QSFP56 connectors at both ends simplify installation by eliminating transceivers, and the factory-terminated ends deliver consistent performance and predictable latency. The cyan-coloured jacket provides easy visual identification in dense cabling environments.

Suitable for

• Switch-to-switch connections in data centers
• Server-to-switch links requiring high throughput
• Storage cluster interconnects and aggregation links
• Short to medium reach InfiniBand fabrics using QSFP56 ports

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Length: 15 m
• Connectors: QSFP56 to QSFP56 (male-to-male)
• Typical data rate: up to 200 Gbit/s per link direction when used with compatible QSFP56 ports
• Weight: 0.23 kg
• Colour: Cyan

How to use

Insert each QSFP56 connector into the corresponding QSFP56 port on network switches, servers or storage devices until the connector latch engages. Ensure devices are powered down or their ports are in a safe hot-plug state per vendor guidance before initial insertion if required by the equipment. After installation, verify link status and speed in the host device management interface and monitor for proper operation under expected traffic loads.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Use the cyan colour for quick identification in patch fields and document the link endpoints in your network inventory. Confirm compatibility of connected QSFP56 ports and host firmware for 200 Gbit/s operation and update device firmware if needed to ensure full performance.
