Cavo di rete BlueOptics QSFP-40G-D-AOC-3M QSFP 40GBASE-SR4 3 metri blu

The BlueOptics QSFP-40G-D-AOC-3M is an active optical cable engineered for high-throughput connections in modern networks. Compliant with 40GBASE-SR4 specifications, this 3 metre cable provides a direct, low-latency link between QSFP ports. It is suitable for short-reach, high-bandwidth links in data centres and network aggregation points, offering a compact alternative to transceiver-plus-fibre assemblies while preserving signal integrity across the supported distance.

Advantages

This active optical cable integrates transmitter and receiver electronics in the QSFP housings to reduce external components and simplify installation. Its fixed 3 m length reduces clutter and ensures predictable signal loss characteristics. The QSFP connector form factor supports standard 40GBASE-SR4 interfaces, enabling direct connection between compatible switches, routers and network cards. The cable design minimises connector mating steps and delivers consistent performance for Ethernet and InfiniBand FDR10 environments.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics QSFP-40G-D-AOC-3M by inserting each QSFP connector into compatible QSFP ports on the devices you wish to link. Ensure devices are powered off or ports are in a safe state per equipment manufacturer guidance when making connections, then power up and verify link status via device LEDs or management interfaces. No separate transceivers or patch fibres are required because the AOC contains the optical transceivers within the cable ends. For reliable operation, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep the connector interfaces free from dust and debris.

Recommendations

Use this 3 m active optical cable for short-reach, high-bandwidth connections inside racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid tight bends and excessive mechanical stress on the cable; follow equipment vendor port guidelines for insertion/removal to maintain connector and port integrity. Verify compatibility with your switch or host adapter firmware and port type before deployment to ensure optimal link negotiation.
