Cavo di rete Goobay 74346 RJ-45 Cat8.1 1m grigio

The Goobay 74346 networking cable is a 1 m grey patch cable designed to meet the Cat8.1 specification for high-speed Ethernet links. It uses U/FTP (STP) shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors on both ends, and features a slim, flexible TPE jacket and reduced-size connectors to lower space requirements in racks and patch panels.

Advantages

This Cat8.1 cable combines compact, extra-short RJ-45 connectors and slim copper conductors to reduce cable volume in server cabinets and improve airflow compared with conventional cabling. The U/FTP shielding minimizes electromagnetic interference, while gold-plated contacts ensure reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance. The soft TPE jacket increases flexibility and makes routing in tight spaces easier.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet connections in data centers and server racks
• Short patch cabling between switches, patch panels and servers
• Environments where reduced cable bulk and improved airflow are required

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat8.1
• Length: 1 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 – RJ-45, gold-plated
• Shielding: U/FTP (screened foiled twisted pair)
• Cable jacket: TPE, grey
• Supported cabling technology: 10/100/1000Base-T(X)

How to use

Connect one gold-plated RJ-45 plug to your network device or switch and the other to your patch panel or server port. Route the cable through the rack or cabinet, taking advantage of the slim connectors and flexible TPE jacket to minimize bend radius and avoid obstructing airflow. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and latched to maintain a secure connection.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this 1 m Cat8.1 cable for short links inside racks or between adjacent devices. Avoid excessive bending near the connector area and keep the cable away from strong EMI sources to preserve shielding effectiveness.
