Cavo di rete Helos cavo patch in fibra ottica Uniboot LC/LC duplex 50/125µm OM5 5,0m verde

The Helos LWL Patch Cable Uniboot LC/LC Duplex 50/125µm OM5 5.0m Green is a duplex multimode fiber optic patch cable designed for high-speed data links in structured cabling environments. It uses OM5 graded-index multimode fiber with a 50/125 µm core/cladding diameter and LC duplex connectors in a uniboot configuration. The 5.0 m length and green jacket color facilitate identification and routing, while the uniboot design reduces connector bulk and simplifies cable management in dense patch panels and racks.

Advantages

The cable combines OM5 multimode fiber performance with a uniboot LC/LC duplex form factor to enable compact routing and reduced congestion at patch panels. Its 50/125 µm fiber supports short-reach high-bandwidth transmission typical for data center and enterprise environments. The green jacket provides clear visual differentiation for OM5 links, and the LC connectors offer widely adopted, compact terminations suitable for modern optical equipment.

Suitable for

• Data center intra-rack and inter-rack connections
• High-density patch panels and optical distribution frames
• Enterprise LANs requiring multimode fiber links
• Short-reach high-bandwidth applications such as 40G/100G parallel optics (where multimode OM5 is supported)

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM5, graded-index
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC, duplex uniboot
• Length: 5.0 meters
• Jacket color: Green (OM5 identification)
• Configuration: Duplex

How to use

Route the uniboot LC/LC duplex cable between equipment ports or patch panel ports, ensuring connectors are clean and free of dust before insertion. Align each LC connector with the corresponding port and insert until secure. The uniboot design keeps the two fibers in a single boot, so handle the cable with care to avoid excessive bend radii; follow the equipment and cabling system minimum bend radius recommendations. For moves or reconfigurations, disconnect by pressing the LC latch and gently withdrawing the connector.

Recommendations

Inspect connectors with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before each installation. Maintain minimum bend radius and avoid sharp kinks. Use color-coding and labeling consistent with site cabling standards to identify OM5 links and simplify maintenance.
