Cavo di rete ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 10m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 10m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable is designed to provide reliable high-speed data transmission for wired Ethernet connections. This 10-metre grey cable uses Cat7 specification and S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. It is fitted with RJ-45 connectors with gold plating to improve contact quality and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for sustained use in home and office networks.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines an overall shield with individually foil-shielded pairs to minimise signal degradation in environments with multiple cables or electronic devices. Cat7 rating supports higher bandwidths and improved transmission performance compared with earlier twisted-pair categories. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs ensure consistent contact and lower contact resistance over time. At 10 metres, the cable offers a balance between reach and signal integrity for typical room-to-room or desk-to-switch runs.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections between routers, switches and endpoints in homes or offices
• High-bandwidth applications such as HD video streaming, online gaming and large file transfers
• Environments with multiple electronic devices where shielding reduces interference
• Structured cabling where a 10 m length is appropriate for desk, cabinet or equipment connections

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid/foil with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 10 metres
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Grey
• Conductor type: Twisted pair copper

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the Ethernet port of your router, switch or network interface and the other plug to the target device such as a PC, NAS or media player. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a secure electrical and mechanical connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, pinching or close parallel runs with high-power electrical cables to preserve shielding effectiveness and signal quality. For rack or cabinet installations, allow for gentle curves and secure the cable with appropriate clips or ties to prevent strain at the connector ends.

Recommendations

The cable performs best when used within its specified length and in environments where shielding reduces external interference. Avoid running the cable tightly alongside mains power cables, and do not exceed recommended bend radius to maintain performance and connector longevity.
