Cavo di rete ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 0,5 m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 0.5m networking cable is a short patch cable designed for reliable high-speed Ethernet connections. It uses Category 6 specification with S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. The cable is terminated with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold to improve conductivity and resist corrosion. Its 0.5 meter length and blue jacket make it suitable for compact installations, patch panels and close-proximity device connections.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding offers enhanced protection against external interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk, supporting stable data transmission in busy cabling environments. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts provide consistent signal transfer and help maintain low contact resistance over time. The short 0.5 m length minimizes excess cable in rack and desktop setups, improving cable management and reducing signal attenuation associated with unnecessary cable length.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches to patch panels in racks with short cable runs
• Linking desktop PCs, VoIP phones and networked peripherals to wall outlets
• Short-distance connections between networked devices in labs or server rooms
• Temporary network setups and testing where minimal cable slack is required

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individual pair foil)
• Length: 0.5 m
• Connector: RJ-45
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Color: blue

How to use

Plug the RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet port on each device until the latch clicks. Ensure connectors are fully inserted to avoid intermittent connections. Use the 0.5 m cable for short, direct links where minimal slack is desired; avoid sharp bends near the connector and maintain the cable’s bend radius to preserve shielding integrity. When routing multiple cables, keep this S/FTP cable separated from high-voltage power lines to maintain optimal performance.

Recommendations

For best results, verify device port compatibility with Cat6 performance requirements and use this cable in indoor network installations. Inspect connectors periodically for damage and replace if contacts are bent or the jacket is compromised. In environments with heavy electromagnetic interference, ensure proper grounding of patch panels and network equipment to complement the S/FTP shielding.
