Cavo di rete ShiverPeaks S/FTP Cat.6 PIMF 0,5 m

The ShiverPeaks S/FTP Cat.6 networking cable is a 0.5 meter patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission in compact installations. Constructed with S/FTP shielding and foil-wrapped pairs over an overall braid, it reduces electromagnetic interference and maintains signal integrity for Gigabit and Fast Ethernet networks. The cable terminates in RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts to support reliable connectivity and low contact resistance. Its green jacket provides an identifiable color coding option for organized cabling in home and office environments.

Advantages

S/FTP construction improves protection against near-end crosstalk and external interference, supporting stable data rates over short runs. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors enhance conductivity and corrosion resistance for long-term reliable connections. The 0.5 m length is suitable for linking equipment in racks, patch panels, and desk setups where minimal slack is required. The green jacket aids visual identification of network segments and helps maintain a tidy cabling layout.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches to patch panels in rack or cabinet environments
• Short interconnects between network devices on a desktop or workstation
• Linking IP phones, access points, and media players to local switches
• Organized cable runs where color-coded wiring is beneficial

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat.6 (Class E)
• Shielding: S/FTP (individually foil‑shielded pairs with overall braid)
• Length: 0.5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 plug on both ends
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Color: Green jacket

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding network ports on devices such as switches, routers, patch panels, or network interface cards. Ensure connectors click into place to establish a secure physical connection. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive twisting of the cable; maintain manufacturer-recommended bend radius and avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines for extended distances.

Recommendations

Use this 0.5 m Cat.6 S/FTP cable for short, high-performance links in rack or desktop setups. Pair it with properly terminated panels and shielded equipment where possible to take full advantage of the shielding. Color-code connections to simplify maintenance and troubleshooting.
