Cavo Direct Attach CBO SFP+ BlueOptics SC353501J3M30 3 m connettore maschio-connettore maschio, nero

The CBO BlueOptics SC353501J3M30 is a 3 m SFP+ direct attach cable (DAC) with male-to-male connectors in a black jacket, engineered for short-range 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections. This passive copper cable connects SFP+ ports directly without separate optical transceivers, offering a compact, low-latency wired link for top-of-rack switches, server-to-switch links and other networking equipment that accept SFP+ direct attach cables.

Advantages

This SFP+ direct attach cable provides a cost-effective alternative to optical transceivers for short-distance 10GbE links, reducing component count while maintaining low latency and reliable throughput. The 3 m length is suitable for rack-based and adjacent-rack connections, simplifying cable management. The male-to-male SFP+ terminations ensure compatibility with standard SFP+ ports and deliver immediate plug-and-play operation without additional modules.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack switch to server connections in datacenter racks
• Switch-to-switch short-range uplinks within the same rack or adjacent racks
• High-density networking environments where minimizing transceivers and power draw is desired

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ male-to-male
• Length: 3 meters
• Data rate: 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE)
• Cable media: passive copper direct attach
• Latency: low, suitable for latency-sensitive applications
• Casing color: black

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the devices to be connected, ensuring the latch engages and the connectors are fully seated. No additional transceivers, cables or configuration are required for standard SFP+ ports that accept direct attach cables; the link should be detected by the connected devices and negotiated at 10GbE if both ports support that speed. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, excessive tension or interference, and secure it within the rack to maintain airflow and order.

Recommendations

Use this 3 m DAC for short, rack-level connections where optical transceivers are unnecessary. Verify SFP+ DAC compatibility with your switches, servers or NICs before deployment and avoid repeated hot-plug cycles; handle connectors by the housing to prevent damage. For longer distances or different port types, consider active cables or fiber solutions.
