Cavo Ethernet Cat8 schermato CABLETIME 0,5 m S/STP nero

CABLETIME Shielded Cat8 Ethernet cable CABLETIME 0.5 m S/STP black is a short-length network cable designed for high-speed, high-frequency data transmission in compact installations. The cable uses Cat8 specification and S/STP (overall foil with individually screened pairs) shielding to minimise crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. With a 0.5 m length and black jacket, this cable is suited for tight patching applications between servers, switches, routers and patch panels in data centres, office racks and home network setups that require Cat8 performance over short distances.

Advantages

The S/STP construction provides both an overall foil shield and individual pair screening, improving signal integrity and reducing external electromagnetic disturbances. The Cat8 rating supports higher bandwidth and faster data rates compared with lower-category cables, while the short 0.5 m length reduces latency and clutter in dense rack environments. A durable black jacket and robust connectors ensure reliable physical connections and long-term mechanical stability.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections in data centres and server rooms
• Interconnects between switches, routers and patch panels in rack systems
• High-speed links for home networks where Cat8 performance is required over short distances
• Environments with significant electromagnetic interference where shielded cable is preferred

How to use

Identify the network ports on the devices to be connected (such as switch, router, server or patch panel). Align the RJ45 connectors and insert the cable plug fully into the device port until a click is felt. For best results keep the cable run short and avoid unnecessary bends or kinks that could impair shielding. If used in a rack, route the cable along cable management paths to reduce stress on connectors and maintain airflow. Verify link status on connected devices and, if needed, run a network test to confirm expected throughput and error rates.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8 S/STP cable for short, high-performance links where shielding and minimal latency are priorities. Avoid using the cable for long-distance runs beyond recommended Cat8 limits; for longer connections choose appropriate lower-loss cabling or fibre solutions. Maintain proper grounding of shielded systems to achieve the intended EMI protection.
