Cavo in fibra ottica DELOCK LC–SC 5 m, multimodale 50 µm, full duplex, viola

DELOCK LC–SC fibre optic cable, 5 m length, designed for InfiniBand and fibre optic connections. The cable features an LC connector on one end and an SC connector on the other, multimode core with 50 µm diameter and full duplex operation for simultaneous transmit and receive. The violet jacket identifies the fibre type and supports multimode high-speed links between networking devices such as servers, switches, media converters and SFP-equipped network interface cards.

Advantages

The cable provides a standardized LC to SC connection format that supports full duplex data transfer, enabling simultaneous bidirectional communication. Its 50 µm multimode core is suitable for short to medium distance high-bandwidth links typically found in data centre and enterprise networks. A 5 m length balances flexibility and minimal signal attenuation, while the violet outer sheath aids quick identification in structured cabling systems.

Suitable for

• Connecting NICs with SFP modules to switches and patch panels
• Linking media converters to network equipment
• Multimode fibre patching in data centres and server rooms
• High-speed InfiniBand and fibre optic links over short to medium distances

Key specifications

• Connector 1: LC (single fibre connector)
• Connector 2: SC (single fibre connector)
• Fibre type: Multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Operation: Full duplex (separate transmit and receive fibres)
• Cable length: 5 m
• Jacket colour: Violet

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for dust or damage prior to installation and clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Connect the LC end to the LC port on the SFP module or NIC, and insert the SC end into the SC port on the switch, patch panel or media converter. Ensure secure seating of both connectors and maintain gentle cable routing to avoid sharp bends or excessive tension. Verify link status on connected devices and test performance with network diagnostics or optical test equipment as required.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable to avoid kinks and keep connector dust caps on when not in use. Use this 50 µm multimode cable for short to medium range, high-bandwidth connections within data centres, server rooms and enterprise networks. For longer distances or single-mode links, select an appropriate fibre type.
