Cavo in fibra ottica duplex LC/SC 50/125µm OM2 5m InLine

The InLine Fiber Optical Duplex Cable LC/SC 50/125µm OM2 5m is a multimode fiber patch cable designed for reliable short- to medium-range data transmission in networking and telecommunication environments. It features a 50 µm core diameter and OM2 graded multimode fiber that supports high-speed links and stable signal propagation. The cable combines LC and SC connector types in a duplex configuration to enable full-duplex communication between devices while maintaining compact connector profiles.

Advantages

This LC/SC OM2 duplex cable provides consistent optical performance with low insertion loss and controlled attenuation over its 5 m length. The use of standardized LC and SC connectors ensures broad compatibility with switches, transceivers, patch panels and telecom equipment. The multimode 50/125 µm construction allows cost-effective deployment for local area networks and data center patching where OM2 specifications meet bandwidth and distance requirements.

Suitable for

• Connecting network switches, routers and transceivers in data centers
• Patching between optical distribution frames and server cabinets
• Short- to medium-range multimode links in LAN and campus networks
• Telecommunication equipment that requires LC to SC duplex connections

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode (OM2)
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Connector A: LC duplex
• Connector B: SC duplex
• Length: 5 m
• Polishing: Typically UPC/PC (industry standard for multimode patch cables)
• Configuration: Duplex optical patch cable for full-duplex transmission

How to use

Inspect both the LC and SC connectors for dust and contamination before connection; use appropriate fiber cleaning tools if necessary. Align and insert the LC connector into the corresponding LC port and the SC connector into the SC port until the connectors click into place. Ensure the duplex cable is routed without tight bends or sharp kinks and secured with gentle cable management to avoid strain on the fiber. When disconnecting, depress the connector latch and pull straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule.

Recommendations

For optimal signal integrity, keep bend radius above the manufacturer’s minimum (typically 10× the cable outer diameter) and store dust caps on unused connectors. Use this OM2 cable for multimode applications up to the distances specified for OM2 performance, and choose higher-grade fiber (OM3/OM4) if greater bandwidth or longer reach is required.
