Cavo in fibra ottica EFB Elektronik O0937.0,5 E-2000 (LSH) LC OS2 0,5 m giallo

The EFB Elektronik O0937.0,5 is a 0.5 m fibre optic patch cable engineered for short, reliable connections in network and telecom environments. It pairs an E-2000 (LSH) connector on one end with an LC connector on the other, using OS2 single-mode fibre with a 9 µm core diameter. The cable’s yellow jacket provides clear visual identification within patch panels and structured cabling installations, while its full-duplex capability supports high-speed bidirectional data transmission suitable for InfiniBand and similar applications.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable provides precise connector mating thanks to the E-2000 (LSH) interface and the compact LC connector, reducing insertion loss and ensuring repeatable performance. The OS2 single-mode fibre and 9 µm core diameter support low-attenuation links over longer distances compared with multimode alternatives. The short 0.5 m length is convenient for patching within racks or between closely located devices, minimizing excess cable clutter. The yellow outer sheath makes routing and maintenance tasks easier in dense cabling environments.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack or equipment-to-equipment short link connections
• InfiniBand full-duplex links requiring single-mode fibre
• Patch panels, transceivers and optical interfaces with E-2000 and LC ports
• Environments where clear cable identification is needed

Key specifications

• Cable length: 0.5 m
• Connector A: E-2000 (LSH)
• Connector B: LC
• Fibre type: OS2 single-mode
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Colour: Yellow
• Transmission mode: Full duplex

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before installation and, if necessary, clean using appropriate fibre-optic cleaning tools. Align the E-2000 (LSH) and LC connectors with their respective ports and insert them gently until secure. Use the 0.5 m length to connect equipment located close together, avoiding tight bends or kinks in the cable. When removing the cable, withdraw connectors straight out to prevent stress on the ferrules.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable following standard single-mode fibre practices: avoid bending below the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius, keep connectors capped when not connected, and perform endface inspections after any disconnection. Match connector types and fibre specifications with device ports to ensure compatibility and optimal optical performance.
