Cavo in fibra ottica EFB Elektronik O2073.3 3m SC ST giallo

The EFB Elektronik O2073.3 3m SC–ST fibre optic cable is a single-mode OS2 patch lead designed for reliable high-speed data transmission over short to medium distances. With a 9 µm core diameter and full duplex configuration, this yellow cable provides stable optical links between equipment that use SC and ST connectors. The cable's jacket and color coding simplify identification in rack and patch panel environments while preserving signal integrity for network, telecom and data centre applications.

Advantages

This SC to ST fibre cable offers single-mode OS2 performance with a 9 µm core that minimizes attenuation and dispersion for long-distance optical signalling. The full duplex layout supports simultaneous bidirectional communication without additional multiplexing. The yellow outer jacket provides standard single-mode colour coding for rapid visual identification during installation and maintenance. Connectors are precision-terminated to ensure low insertion loss and consistent optical contact.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting switches, media converters and transceivers in data centres
• Patch panels and fibre distribution frames in enterprise networks
• Telecommunications and ISP optical backbone links over short to medium spans
• Laboratory testing and equipment set-ups requiring SC and ST connector compatibility

Key specifications

• Fibre type: single-mode (OS2)
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Length: 3 m
• Connector types: SC (one end) and ST (other end)
• Configuration: full duplex
• Jacket colour: yellow (single-mode standard)
• Typical use: patching between devices and panels

How to use

Inspect connectors for dust or damage before connecting and clean with an appropriate fibre cleaning tool if necessary. Align the SC and ST connectors with their respective ports and insert until the connector latches engage; for ST connectors, ensure the bayonet coupling is rotated and secured. Avoid bending the cable beyond its minimum bend radius and route it through cable management trays or guides to prevent stress on the terminations. When disconnecting, release the latch or bayonet coupling and pull the connector straight out without twisting to avoid damaging the ferrule.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a clean environment, keep connector end faces covered with dust caps when not in use, and perform periodic cleaning for optimal optical performance. For installations in structured cabling, label both ends and maintain bend radii consistent with the fibre specification to preserve link quality.
