Cavo in fibra ottica Helos 3 m OM3 SC/SC

The Helos 3m OM3 SC/SC fibre optic cable provides a reliable link for high-speed data transmission over short to medium distances. Constructed for multimode applications with a 50 µm core diameter, this 3-meter cable supports full duplex communication via SC connectors on both ends. Its OM3 specification is suitable for modern network environments that require stable optical connections and low signal attenuation.

Advantages

The cable combines an OM3 multimode fibre core with standardized SC/SC terminations to deliver consistent bandwidth and reduced modal dispersion. Its 3 m length offers flexibility during installation, allowing neat cable routing in rack, server room, and workspace setups. The SC connectors provide simple push-pull mating for secure, repeatable connections and easy handling when making or changing links.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and rack-to-rack connections
• Server links and storage area network (SAN) interconnects
• Campus and building backbone multimode runs
• Network equipment testing and lab environments

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Multimode OM3
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC
• Length: 3 m
• Mode: Full duplex
• Typical application: High-speed multimode optical links

How to use

Identify the transmit and receive ports on your networking equipment and align the SC connectors accordingly. Insert each SC connector into the corresponding adapter or port until it clicks into place, ensuring a secure connection. For duplex operation, maintain consistent orientation so that transmit and receive channels match at both ends. Avoid tight bends and excessive tension on the cable during routing to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

Store and handle the fibre cable in a clean environment; always use dust caps on connectors when not mated. Keep bend radius within manufacturer-recommended limits and avoid exposing the cable to sharp edges or compressive stress. For optimal performance in high-density installations, label both ends to simplify maintenance and verify connections with an optical tester after installation.
