Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand BlueOptics 40G-AOC-QSFP7M-BO 7 m QSFP aqua

The BlueOptics 40G-AOC-QSFP7M-BO is a 7 m InfiniBand active optical cable with QSFP male connectors in aqua colour. Designed for short-reach, high-bandwidth links, this cable supports 40 Gbps data rates and is suitable for interconnecting switches, servers and storage in data centers and high-performance computing racks. The durable outer jacket and factory-terminated QSFP interfaces enable plug-and-play installation without field termination.

Advantages

This InfiniBand fibre optic cable delivers 40 Gbps throughput over a 7 metre active optical link with low latency and electrical isolation between connected devices. The QSFP male connectors ensure a standardized interface for compatible network equipment. Aqua colouring helps with quick identification in dense cabling environments. As an active optical cable, it offers reduced signal degradation compared with long copper runs and avoids electromagnetic interference.

Suitable for

• High-performance computing clusters and inter-node connections
• Data centre switch-to-switch and switch-to-server links
• Storage area networks and SAN uplinks
• Server racks and blade chassis with QSFP ports

Key specifications

• Data rate: 40 Gbps
• Length: 7 m
• Connector type: QSFP male
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC) for InfiniBand
• Colour: Aqua
• Typical use: Short-reach interconnects in racks and cabinets

How to use

Plug each QSFP connector securely into the corresponding QSFP port on network switches, servers or storage devices. Ensure ports are powered down or follow hot-swap procedures recommended by the hardware vendor if available. Route the 7 m cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for optical cables. After connection, verify link status and data transfer using the device management interface to confirm the 40 Gbps link is established.

Recommendations

Use this 7 m BlueOptics QSFP AOC for short-reach, high-bandwidth links inside racks or across adjacent racks. Keep the cable away from sources of mechanical damage and maintain tidy cable management to preserve signal integrity. Confirm QSFP compatibility with equipment vendors when mixing brands.
