Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand BlueOptics 7 m SFP+ colore aqua

The BlueOptics InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 7 m SFP+ Aqua colour is a 7-metre Active Optical Cable (AOC) with SFP+ to SFP+ connectors, designed for high-speed optical links in data centers and networking environments. It supports multimode optical transmission and is suitable for 10G-class applications such as Ethernet and Fibre Channel over Ethernet. The pre-assembled AOC provides a ready-to-use optical connection that is immune to electromagnetic interference and reduces the need for field termination or patching.

Advantages

This 7 m BlueOptics AOC delivers 10G-capable optical connectivity with SFP+ interfaces and male/male connectors in an aqua-coloured jacket for easy identification. Built to MSA SFP+ form-factor standards, the cable integrates transmitter and receiver modules at each end to carry optical signals over multimode fiber. The assembled nature of the cable removes the need for separate transceivers and fiber patching, simplifying installation and reducing points of failure. The design aims for long operational life by using high-quality optoelectronic components and supports digital diagnostics for link monitoring when the host hardware exposes DDM/DOM.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links between switches, routers and servers
• Fibre Channel over Ethernet connections in storage networks
• High-density data center interconnects and top-of-rack cabling

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated SFP+ transceivers
• Connector type: SFP+ (male to male)
• Length: 7 metres
• Optical medium: Multimode fiber
• Data rate class: 10 Gbit/s applications supported
• Jacket colour: Aqua

How to use

Install the BlueOptics 7 m AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ slot on network devices. Ensure both devices support SFP+ modules and that the port settings match the intended protocol (for example 10G Ethernet or Fibre Channel over Ethernet). If digital diagnostics (DDM/DOM) are required, verify that the host hardware exposes and supports these monitoring functions to read real-time link information. No fiber polishing or patching is required since the cable is pre-assembled.

Recommendations

Avoid tight bends and excessive mechanical strain on the cable; follow typical minimum bend radius guidance for multimode AOCs. Confirm compatibility with device vendor firmware and enable DDM/DOM only if the connected hardware supports it to access diagnostic parameters such as optical power and temperature.
