Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand BlueOptics ET7302-DAC-2M-BL 2 m SFP28

The BlueOptics ET7302-DAC-2M-BL InfiniBand fibre optic cable 2m SFP28 is a 2‑metre direct attach cable designed for short‑reach, high‑speed connections between SFP28 ports. This passive twinax copper cable implements a 25GBase‑CR interface and SFP28 to SFP28 male connectors, offering a compact, low‑latency link for rack and adjacent‑rack connectivity in data centres and networking environments. The cable is MSA compliant and intended for use where hardware explicitly supports passive 25G DAC solutions.

Advantages

This BlueOptics cable provides a cost‑effective alternative to active optical modules by delivering 25 Gbps signalling over a passive twinax construction with low power consumption and low latency. Built to MSA guidelines and assembled with high‑grade components, it supports reliable short‑distance transmission and is suitable for use in common switch, router and storage platforms that accept SFP28 passive DACs. The 2 m length balances reach and manageability in rack deployments.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches and routers within a rack or between adjacent racks
• High‑speed links for storage systems and SANs using InfiniBand or Ethernet at 25 Gbps
• Server uplinks and top‑of‑rack interconnects requiring SFP28 ports

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Length: 2 metres
• Nominal data rate: up to 25 Gbps per lane (25GBase‑CR compatibility)
• Cable type: passive twinax copper (30 AWG)
• Form factor: Direct Attach Cable (DAC), MSA compliant

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the network devices until the latch clicks, ensuring both devices support passive DAC at 25 Gbps. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain bend radius recommendations consistent with twinax construction. After installation, verify link status and negotiate speed on the connected devices according to the equipment documentation.

Recommendations

Use this 2 m passive DAC for short‑reach connections inside racks or to adjacent racks where devices explicitly support 25G passive twinax cables. Avoid extended outdoor runs or environments with heavy electromagnetic interference. For compatibility, confirm that the target hardware accepts passive SFP28 DACs and configure link settings per your switch or server vendor guidance.
