Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand BlueOptics SFP-10G-AOC7M-BO 7 m SFP+ aqua

The BlueOptics SFP-10G-AOC7M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 7 m SFP+ Aqua is a 7-metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors engineered for high-speed data transmission in network and data centre environments. It uses multimode fibre and integrated transceivers at each end to support reliable 10 Gbit/s links over a short-reach connection. The Aqua-coloured cable and SFP+ form factor conform to common industry connections and MSA standards for compatibility with a wide range of network equipment.

Advantages

This AOC provides a compact, low-power alternative to separate transceivers and patch fibres by integrating transmitter and receiver modules directly into the cable ends. The fixed 7 m length reduces signal loss and eliminates connector mating variability. Designed for SFP+ ports, it supports 10GBASE-SR signalling and is suitable for high-density racks where cable management and link stability are required. The cable is compatible with major network platforms that support SFP+ AOC modules.

Suitable for

• 10 Gbit/s short-reach connections between switches and servers in data centres
• High-density top-of-rack and leaf-spine network links
• Storage networking using Fibre Channel over Ethernet or iSCSI environments
• Interconnects between routers, switches and network appliances with SFP+ ports

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ to SFP+ (male/male)
• Length: 7 metres
• Supported data rate: up to 10 Gbit/s
• Fibre type: multimode (active optical cable)
• Signalling: 10GBASE-SR compatible
• Colour: Aqua
• Form factor: SFP+ AOC, integrated transmitter and receiver

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on your network devices until the latch engages. Ensure both devices are powered and that their firmware or operating system supports SFP+ AOC modules. The cable is plug-and-play on platforms that accept compatible SFP+ AOC modules; link negotiation and speed configuration are typically handled automatically by the connected devices. Avoid sharp bends and maintain recommended bend radii to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

Use the BlueOptics 7 m AOC for short-reach 10G links within racks or between adjacent racks; verify device compatibility with SFP+ AOC modules before deployment and keep the cable routed to minimise stress and EMI exposure.
