Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand BlueOptics SP-CABLE-FS-SFP+5-BL 5 m connettore maschio/connettore maschio

The BlueOptics SP-CABLE-FS-SFP+5-BL is a 5 m InfiniBand/fibre optic cable with Male-to-Male SFP+ connectors designed for short-distance, high-speed interconnection in racks and adjacent rack rows. It supports 10G-class links and is compatible with SFP+ ports that accept passive direct attach or fibre-based SFP+ transceivers. The cable provides reliable signal transmission for data centre and networking hardware where low latency and predictable performance are required.

Advantages

This 5 m BlueOptics cable offers 10G-capable connectivity with SFP+ interfaces and is built to MSA-compliant form factors. The cable uses high-quality components and construction suitable for data centre environments, delivering low latency, low power consumption for passive solutions, and stable electrical signal transmission on short links. Designed for compatibility with major networking platforms, it can be used as an equivalent alternative to branded direct attach or SFP+ patch solutions where supported by the host hardware.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting switches, routers and storage systems within racks
• Short-distance 10G InfiniBand or Ethernet links (up to 5 m)
• Server uplinks and top-of-rack cabling where SFP+ ports are available
• Environments requiring low-latency, cost-effective direct attach connections

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 metres
• Connector type: SFP+ Male to SFP+ Male
• Supported data rates: up to 10 Gbit/s (depending on host support and protocol)
• Cable type: passive twinax / short-reach fibre optic compatible implementation for SFP+ links
• Wire gauge / construction suitable for short-range direct attach use
• Form factor: SFP+ compatible, MSA-compliant mechanical dimensions

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the devices to be linked, ensuring the port supports passive direct attach or the chosen SFP+ transceiver type. Route the 5 m cable within the rack or between adjacent racks, avoiding sharp bends and excessive strain on the connectors. Verify link status and negotiated speed in the device management interface after connection. If the host platform enforces vendor compatibility, confirm support for third-party SFP+ cables or enable the appropriate settings in the device firmware.

Recommendations

Use this cable for short-distance 10G links inside racks and across adjacent racks. Avoid using it for long-distance runs; maintain gentle cable bends and secure the cable to prevent mechanical stress. Confirm device compatibility with passive SFP+ twinax or direct-attach assemblies before deployment to ensure full functionality.
