Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand BlueOptics XLAOCBL7-BO 7 m QSFP

The BlueOptics XLAOCBL7-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 7 m QSFP is a 7-metre active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP-to-QSFP male connectors, designed for high-speed connections in data center and networking environments. It supports multimode fibre transmission and protocols up to 40 Gbit/s, providing a pre-assembled optical link that reduces the need for patching and mitigates electromagnetic interference.

Advantages

This 7 m QSFP AOC follows MSA-compliant QSFP specifications and integrates transmitter and receiver modules on both ends to enable simultaneous send/receive optical communication. The cable is factory-tested for compatibility with major hardware platforms that accept QSFP AOCs, offers Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM/DOM) for real-time diagnostic data (voltage, laser bias current, transmit power, receive power and temperature), and uses high-quality optical and electronic components to extend operational lifetime and reliability.

Suitable for

• High-speed switch-to-switch links in data centres
• Server-to-switch uplinks and storage network interconnects
• Fibre Channel over Ethernet and SDH/SONET applications requiring up to 40 Gbit/s
• Environments where immunity to electromagnetic interference is required

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) using multimode fibre
• Connector type: QSFP (QSFP-to-QSFP), male/male
• Nominal length: 7 metres
• Maximum data rate: up to 40 Gbit/s (aggregate, depending on protocol)
• Digital diagnostics: DDM / DOM support for real-time monitoring
• Compliance: QSFP AOC MSA mechanical and electrical compatibility; conforms to common industry safety and environmental directives

How to use

Install the BlueOptics 7 m QSFP AOC by inserting each QSFP connector into the appropriate QSFP ports on the source and target devices while the equipment is powered down or following the device vendor's hot-plug guidelines. Verify that connected hardware supports QSFP AOCs and DDM/DOM if diagnostic functions are required. After insertion, confirm link status on both devices and use management interfaces to view diagnostic values if needed.

Recommendations

Handle the fibre cable by the connector housings, avoid tight bends or kinks, and maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer. Ensure device firmware supports third-party AOCs for full interoperability and check DDM/DOM compatibility if you rely on remote diagnostics.
