Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand ShiverPeaks 77905/4 10 m ST viola

The ShiverPeaks 77905/4 10 m ST Violet InfiniBand fibre optic cable is designed for short- to medium-range high-speed data links. The cable uses a 50 µm core multimode fibre and ST push-and-twist connectors on both ends to provide full duplex communication. Its 10 metre length and violet jacket make it suitable for organized rack installations and visible cable routing in data centres and network rooms.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable supports multimode transmission with a 50 µm core diameter, enabling high bandwidth and low-latency links for InfiniBand networks. ST connectors on both ends offer quick, tool-free insertion and reliable mechanical coupling. The 10 m length balances reach and manageability for typical server-to-switch or switch-to-switch runs. The violet jacket provides easy visual identification in cable bundles and structured cabling environments.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch InfiniBand connections within racks or between adjacent racks
• Data centre and network room fibre runs where multimode 50 µm cable is required
• Environments requiring clearly color-coded cabling for maintenance and identification

Key specifications

• Fibre type: multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: ST on both ends
• Transmission mode: full duplex
• Cable length: 10 m
• Jacket color: violet

How to use

Route the cable through cable management channels or racks to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress. Align each ST connector with the corresponding ST port and insert with a push-and-twist action until it locks in place. Ensure both ends are connected to compatible InfiniBand ports configured for multimode operation. Avoid touching the fibre endfaces and, if needed, clean connectors with an appropriate fibre cleaning tool before mating.

Recommendations

Store and install the cable in environments that respect minimum bend radius for multimode fibres and protect against physical damage. Use color-coding to simplify maintenance and verify compatibility with multimode InfiniBand equipment and transceivers before deployment.
