Cavo in fibra ottica LOGON AL5SCSC10I/4I OM4 10 m 2x SC su 2x SC (rosa)

LOGON AL5SCSC10I/4I OM4 10 m fibre optic cable (2x SC to 2x SC, pink) is a multimode patch cable engineered for short- to medium-range high-speed links. Constructed with 50 µm core OM4 multimode fibre, this 10-metre cable provides low attenuation and consistent modal bandwidth for use in data centres, server rooms and network equipment interconnections. Both ends are terminated with two SC connectors, enabling duplex connections for InfiniBand and common fibre-optic networking applications. The pink jacket helps with visual identification in dense cable environments.

Advantages

This OM4 multimode cable offers improved bandwidth and reduced dispersion compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, supporting higher data rates over the specified distance. The dual SC-to-SC termination simplifies duplex link setups and minimizes the need for additional adapters. The 10 m length balances flexibility and reach for connecting racks or equipment across short spans while maintaining signal integrity. The coloured outer sheath allows easy routing and identification in complex installations.

Suitable for

• Data centre trunking and patch panels
• Server rack interconnections and equipment links
• InfiniBand and high-speed multimode networking
• Short- to medium-range fibre runs within buildings
• Environments requiring clear cable identification

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode, 50 µm core
• Length: 10 metres
• Connector configuration: 2x SC to 2x SC (duplex)
• Connector gender: male/male duplex terminations
• Jacket colour: pink
• Typical use range: short- to medium-distance multimode links

How to use

Inspect both SC connectors and ports for dust or debris before insertion and, if necessary, clean with an approved fibre cleaning tool. Align the SC connectors with the device ports and push until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Avoid tight bends and maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the cable manufacturer when routing; use appropriate cable management in racks and trays. When disconnecting, release the latch and pull straight out to prevent stress on the fibre ends.

Recommendations

Store and handle the fibre cable in dry conditions and protect connector end faces with dust caps when not in use. For best performance in data centre or InfiniBand environments, pair this OM4 cable with compatible multimode transceivers and maintain clean connector interfaces to minimize insertion loss.
