Cavo in fibra ottica METZ CONNECT 151J1EOEO20E 2x SC OM3 2 m aqua

The METZ CONNECT 151J1EOEO20E 2x SC OM3 2 m Aqua is a multimode fibre optic patch cable designed for short-distance high-speed data connections. It uses OM3 multimode specification with a 50 µm core diameter and two SC connectors on each end, providing reliable optical links for network equipment in data centers, telecom rooms, and LAN environments. The aqua-coloured jacket makes identification and segregation of OM3 links quick and consistent within structured cabling systems.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable supports OM3 multimode performance, enabling efficient transmission for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over short to moderate distances. The dual SC connectors offer stable, easy-to-handle connections compatible with standard SC ports. At 2 metres length the cable is suitable for rack-to-equipment or patch-panel connections where minimal slack is required. The aqua outer jacket provides clear visual identification for multimode OM3 infrastructure.

Suitable for

• Short-range 10 Gigabit Ethernet patching in data centers and server rooms
• Connections between patch panels and network switches
• Structured cabling installations requiring OM3 multimode links
• Telecommunications and enterprise LAN fibre runs

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Multimode (OM3)
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC (2x SC)
• Cable length: 2 m
• Colour: Aqua

How to use

Route the cable avoiding tight bends and compression; maintain bend radii recommended by equipment manufacturers to prevent increased attenuation. Align and insert the SC connectors into matching SC duplex or simplex ports until they click into place, ensuring correct polarity where applicable. For best optical performance, keep connector endfaces clean and inspect or clean them with appropriate fibre-optic cleaning tools before connection. When disconnecting, press the connector latch and pull straight out to avoid damage.

Recommendations

Use this OM3 2 m SC–SC patch cable for short interconnects within racks and between nearby equipment. Store cables coiled loosely and label both ends if used in dense cabling environments to simplify maintenance. Avoid kinking and exposure to sharp edges or heavy compression to preserve optical performance.
