Cavo in fibra ottica S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77913

The ShiverPeaks Fibre optic cable S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77913 is a 3 m OM2 multimode patch cable designed for reliable short-range data transmission. It has SC and ST connectors and a 50 µm core diameter optimized for multimode networks. The cable supports full duplex communication and features an orange outer jacket that improves visibility and provides mechanical protection suitable for rack, patch panel and equipment interconnects.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable offers stable high-speed signal transmission over multimode links thanks to its OM2 50 µm core. SC and ST connector types provide compatibility with a wide range of networking equipment and patch panels. The full duplex capability enables simultaneous transmit and receive channels for faster link throughput. The bright orange jacket aids cable management and reduces the risk of accidental damage in dense cabling environments.

Suitable for

• Short-range multimode network links in data centers and server rooms
• Patch panels, switches and media converters with SC or ST ports
• LAN backbone segments and office network interconnects
• Equipment connections requiring full duplex fibre links

Key specifications

• Length: 3 m
• Optical class: OM2 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector A: SC
• Connector B: ST
• Communication: Full duplex
• Jacket colour: Orange

How to use

Verify that both ends of your network equipment accept SC and ST connectors and that the link requires an OM2 multimode cable. Align and insert the SC connector into the SC receptacle until it clicks, and insert the ST connector into the ST port with the bayonet twist to lock. Ensure connectors are clean before mating to avoid signal loss. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode fibre to preserve signal integrity.

Recommendations

Keep protective dust caps on connectors until installation, use a fibre inspection pen or lint-free wipes with appropriate cleaner for connector endface cleaning, and secure the cable in cable management trays or tie points to prevent strain. For best performance, use this OM2 cable for links within the specified multimode distance ranges and avoid placing it near high-interference electrical equipment.
