Cavo in fibra ottica S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77913/3 3 m

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN 77913/3 is a 3 m OM3 fibre optic cable with SC and ST connectors engineered for high-speed, short to medium range data transmission. Featuring a 50 µm core diameter and full duplex capability, this cable is intended for structured cabling, network interconnects and multimedia applications where low attenuation and consistent signal integrity are required.

Advantages

This OM3 fibre cable provides high bandwidth and low signal loss suitable for gigabit and multi-gigabit network links. The combination of SC and ST connectors offers compatibility with equipment using either connector type, enabling flexible connections between switches, media converters, patch panels and transceivers. The 3 m length supports tidy cable runs in racks and between nearby network devices while preserving signal quality through multimode fibre design.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and switch-to-switch links
• LAN backbone and horizontal cabling in office networks
• Media converters and fibre-equipped network appliances
• Audio/video distribution and AV racks requiring fibre interconnects

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 3 m
• Connector types: SC on one end, ST on the other
• Transmission: full duplex
• Typical use: short to medium range multimode links

How to use

Connect the SC connector to the corresponding SC port and the ST connector to the ST port of the target devices, ensuring connectors are clean and free of dust before mating. Route the cable along existing cable management paths to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer's recommended minimum bend radius for multimode fibre. Verify link status and performance after connection using the network equipment's diagnostics or optical testing tools.

Recommendations

Inspect and clean connector endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools prior to installation, avoid kinking the cable, and store spare length in gentle loops. Use this OM3 cable for short to medium multimode links where compatibility between SC and ST interfaces is required; for longer distance or single-mode requirements select appropriate fibre types and connectors.
