Cavo in fibra ottica S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77925/4 5m LC viola

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN 77925/4 is a 5 m OM4 fibre optic patch cable with LC connectors on both ends. Designed for high-speed data transmission, this duplex multimode cable has a 50 µm core diameter and violet jacket for straightforward identification in dense cabling environments. The cable is intended for short- to medium-range optical links where low attenuation and consistent bandwidth are required.

Advantages

This OM4 LC–LC cable supports high data rates and offers low insertion loss and consistent optical performance across multimode links. The LC duplex connectors provide compact, snap-in terminations suitable for modern switches, transceivers and patch panels. The violet colour jacket simplifies cable management and identification in racks and trenches, and the 5 m length accommodates common interconnect distances without excess slack.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching between switches, transceivers and panels
• Server-to-switch connections in rack environments
• High-speed multimode links in enterprise networks
• Optical lab setups and testing of OM4 multimode components

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Connector type: LC to LC duplex
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Cable length: 5 m
• Jacket colour: violet
• Mode: duplex (full duplex operation)

How to use

Route the fibre cable along cable trays or through cable management panels to avoid tight bends; maintain the minimum bend radius specified by OM4 standards. Insert the LC connectors into matching LC ports until they click to secure the connection. For duplex links, align the transmit and receive fibres according to the port labelling to ensure correct full-duplex communication. When disconnecting, depress the LC latch and pull straight to avoid stressing the fibre.

Recommendations

Handle the fibre ends with care and keep protective dust caps on connectors when not in use. Clean connectors before mating using appropriate fibre cleaning tools. Avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable; store coiled without tight loops. Use the violet colour for rapid identification in multi-cable installations and follow site-specific labelling and documentation practices.
