Cavo in fibra ottica S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77927/4 15 m LC viola

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77927/4 15 m LC Violet is a 15-metre OM4 multimode fibre optic cable equipped with LC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for full duplex data transmission, this violet-coloured cable supports high-speed links and is intended for structured cabling environments where clear visual identification and compact connector housings are required. The OM4 specification enables improved modal bandwidth for shorter wavelength multimode systems, making the cable suitable for modern data centre and network applications that rely on multimode fibre infrastructure.

Advantages

The cable provides reliable full duplex connectivity via LC-to-LC terminations and benefits from the OM4 multimode grade for higher bandwidth over typical multimode distances. Its 50 µm core is compatible with standard multimode transceivers and the 15 m length supports mid-range patching and equipment interconnects. Violet colour coding simplifies identification in dense cabling environments and reduces the risk of incorrect connections during installation or maintenance.

Suitable for

• Patch connections in data centres and server rooms
• Interconnects between network switches and storage systems
• High-speed multimode links and short-reach aggregation
• Structured cabling systems where colour-coded identification is required

Key specifications

• Length: 15 m
• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC — LC
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Casing colour: Violet

How to use

Route the fibre cable carefully to avoid sharp bends, kinks, or excessive tension and secure it with appropriate cable management accessories. Insert the LC connectors into compatible LC ports on transceivers, patch panels, or equipment until they click into place. Verify link integrity and alignment with suitable test equipment or by observing link status indicators on connected devices. When disconnecting, press the connector latch before pulling to avoid damaging the ferrule or connector housing.

Recommendations

Handle the OM4 multimode fibre by the connector body and avoid touching the fibre endfaces; use dust caps when connectors are not in use and inspect/clean endfaces with appropriate cleaning tools prior to connection. Maintain bend radii above manufacturer-recommended minimums and store excess cable in coils without tight loops. Use the violet colour for organised labelling and segregate multimode runs from single-mode cabling where required.
