Cavo in fibra ottica S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77930/4 2m LC ST

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN 77930/4 is a 2 m OM4 multimode fibre optic patch cable with an LC connector on one end and an ST connector on the other. Designed for high-speed network links and short-range data centre or campus environments, this fibre cable uses a 50 µm core diameter to support full-duplex transmission and minimize modal dispersion. The 2-metre length provides flexibility for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-panel connections while maintaining low insertion loss and stable signal integrity.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre cable offers high bandwidth capacity and low attenuation for multimode links, suitable for 10GbE and higher short-reach applications. The combination of LC and ST connectors enables compatibility with a wide range of transceivers and legacy equipment. Its 50 µm core supports consistent multimode performance, and the 2 m length reduces excess slack in structured cabling installations.

Suitable for

• Short-range data centre interconnects and patch panels
• Campus network backbone links and telecom rooms
• Equipment upgrades where LC-to-ST termination is required
• Full-duplex duplex transceiver connections for high-speed networking

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Multimode OM4
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 2 m
• Connector A: LC (single connector)
• Connector B: ST (single connector)
• Transmission: Full duplex

How to use

Inspect connector ferrules for debris before installation and clean using an appropriate fibre cleaning tool if necessary. Connect the LC end to compatible transceivers or ports designed for LC connectors and insert the ST end into the corresponding ST socket; ensure connectors are fully seated to avoid signal loss. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress, keeping bend radius within manufacturer guidelines for OM4 multimode fibre. For best performance, verify link integrity and optical loss with suitable test equipment after installation.

Recommendations

Store and handle the fibre cable in a dry, dust-free environment. When planning installations, allow a small service loop to reduce strain and facilitate future maintenance. Use dust caps on unused connectors to protect the fibre endfaces and follow standard safety procedures when working near active optical transmitters.
