Cavo in fibra ottica S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77931 1 m LC arancione

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN 77931 is a 1 m OM2 multimode fibre optic cable equipped with LC connectors on both ends. With a 50 µm core diameter and support for full duplex transmission, this LC–LC patch cable is designed for short- to medium-range high-speed data links in structured cabling, data centres and network closets. The cable's orange jacket provides clear visual identification for multimode installations and helps maintain organised cable runs.

Advantages

This LC to LC OM2 fibre cable offers low insertion loss and reliable optical performance suitable for multimode networks. The 1 m length minimises excess slack in dense patch environments while allowing flexible routing between devices. Using matched LC terminations on both ends ensures simple, tool-free connection to compatible transceivers, switches and patch panels supporting LC interfaces.

Suitable for

• Short to medium distance multimode links in data centres and server rooms
• Patching between LC ports on switches, transceivers and patch panels
• Structured cabling where OM2 multimode performance is required
• Environments that benefit from colour-coded cable management

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode (OM2)
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC (both ends)
• Length: 1 m
• Duplex mode: Full duplex
• Jacket colour: Orange

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for contamination before insertion and, if necessary, clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools. Align each LC connector with the corresponding LC receptacle and push until the latch engages; avoid excessive force. Ensure patch cords are routed without tight bends and are supported to prevent strain on connectors. For duplex connections, maintain correct polarity between transmit and receive ports on connected equipment.

Recommendations

Store spare cables coiled without tight loops and protect connector endfaces with dust caps when not in use. For best optical performance, follow vendor guidelines for connector cleaning and fibre handling; replace cables that show signs of physical damage or persistently high loss on testing.
