Cavo in fibra ottica S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77939/4 5 m LC SC viola

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN 77939/4 is a 5 m OM4 fibre optic patch cable with LC connector on one end and SC connector on the other, designed for duplex data transmission. With a 50 µm core diameter and OM4 multimode specification, this violet-coloured cable is intended for high-speed links in data centres and network racks where clear colour coding and reliable multimode performance are required.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable combines OM4 multimode performance with a 5 metre length suitable for many rack-to-equipment connections. The LC–SC connector combination offers compatibility with a wide range of transceivers and patch panels. Violet colour coding supports organised cable management and quick visual identification. The duplex configuration enables simultaneous transmit and receive channels for predictable full-duplex operation.

Suitable for

• Data centre patch panels and server racks
• Short-reach high-bandwidth links within buildings
• High-performance computing clusters and storage networks
• Telecommunications rooms and network distribution frames

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 5 m
• Connector A: LC (single duplex end)
• Connector B: SC (single duplex end)
• Duplex configuration for full-duplex links
• Colour: violet for identification

How to use

Inspect both connector endfaces for cleanliness before installation and, if necessary, clean with an appropriate fibre cleaning tool or wipes. Connect the LC end to the LC port on your transceiver or patch panel and the SC end to the corresponding SC adapter or device port, ensuring correct orientation and a secure fit. Route the cable following standard bend-radius guidelines for OM4 multimode fibres and secure with cable management accessories to avoid strain and connector damage.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a dry, dust-free environment and avoid tight bends or excessive pulling. Use colour-coded cables like this violet OM4 assembly to simplify identification in dense installations and maintain documentation of link endpoints for efficient troubleshooting.
