Cavo in fibra ottica S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77953/3 3 m

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN 77953/3 is a 3 m OM3 fibre optic cable with an LC connector on one end and an SC connector on the other, designed for high-speed full duplex data transmission. With a 50 µm core diameter, this multimode fibre supports applications that require reliable, low-latency connectivity across short to medium distances in structured cabling, data centre links and network equipment interconnects.

Advantages

This OM3 fibre cable provides consistent signal integrity and reduced attenuation over short distances thanks to its 50 µm core. The combination of LC and SC connectors ensures compatibility with a wide range of transceivers and patch panels, enabling straightforward integration into existing fibre networks. Its 3 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or device-to-patch-panel connections while maintaining full duplex performance for simultaneous bidirectional data flow.

Suitable for

• Patch connections in data centres and server rooms
• Interconnection between network switches, routers and transceivers
• High-speed multimode links for storage area networks (SAN) and enterprise LANs
• Short to medium range fibre backbones within buildings

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connectors: LC — SC (opposite ends)
• Length: 3 m
• Transmission mode: Full duplex

How to use

Inspect connectors for dust or damage before installation and, if necessary, clean with an appropriate fibre cleaning tool. Route the cable following standard bend-radius recommendations for multimode fibre to avoid microbends and signal loss. Insert the LC connector into the LC port and the SC connector into the SC adapter or transceiver until a tactile click or secure seating is achieved. Verify link status and perform standard optical testing to confirm expected attenuation and data throughput.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable to avoid tight bends, kinks or excessive pulling force. Use dust caps when connectors are not in use and follow equipment manufacturer guidelines for connector engagement. For critical links, validate performance with an OTDR or power meter and choose OM3 fibre when supporting 10 Gbps and certain short-reach 40/100 Gbps multimode applications.
