Cavo in fibra ottica S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77960 10 m LC SC

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN 77960 10 m LC–SC fibre optic cable is an OM2 multimode link designed for reliable short- to medium-range data transmission. With a 50 µm core diameter and LC connector on one end and SC on the other, the cable supports full duplex operation and is suitable for structured cabling, network closets and inter-equipment connections where multimode performance is required.

Advantages

This OM2 fibre cable provides consistent signal quality over its 10 m length and reduces attenuation compared with lower-grade multimode assemblies. The LC and SC connectors offer compatibility with a wide range of network devices and patch panels; LC provides a compact form factor while SC ensures robust push-pull coupling. Full duplex support enables simultaneous transmit and receive channels for standard networking applications.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and rack-to-rack connections
• Server room fibre runs and network closet interconnects
• Multimode LAN links, including switches and transceivers that accept LC or SC terminations
• Telecommunication equipment that requires OM2 multimode fibre

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Multimode OM2
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 10 m
• Connector type: LC to SC (one LC end, one SC end)
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Typical applications: Short- to medium-range multimode links

How to use

Inspect both connectors and the cable jacket for visible damage before installation. Align the LC connector with the LC port and the SC connector with the SC port on your devices or patch panels, then insert until a secure connection is felt. Ensure cable bend radius limits are respected and avoid tight bends or kinks. For duplex links, match the transmit and receive channels on each end to maintain correct signal flow.

Recommendations

To preserve performance, keep connectors clean using appropriate fibre cleaning tools before mating, route the cable away from heavy electromagnetic sources and avoid repeated mechanical stress. Label both ends to simplify maintenance and verify link integrity with an optical tester after installation.
