Cavo in fibra ottica ShiverPeaks 77912 2 m SC ST arancione

The ShiverPeaks 77912 2m SC ST Orange is an OM2 multimode fibre optic cable designed for reliable duplex data transmission over short to medium distances. It features an SC connector on one end and an ST connector on the other, a 50 µm core diameter, and a bright orange jacket for easy visual identification within racks and patch panels. The 2-meter length and standard connector pair make it suitable for linking network equipment, switches, and optical transceivers in structured cabling environments.

Advantages

This fibre cable supports full duplex communication and is constructed to maintain consistent optical performance with a 50 µm multimode core. The combination of SC and ST connectors provides compatibility with a wide range of network devices and legacy equipment. The orange outer jacket improves cable management by simplifying identification and routing in crowded installations. The 2 m length balances flexibility and minimal signal attenuation for typical data center and LAN interconnects.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, transceivers and patch panels in LAN and data center racks
• Short- to medium-distance multimode optical links
• Environments requiring clear cable identification and orderly routing

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OM2 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector types: SC to ST
• Length: 2 m
• Jacket color: orange
• Transmission mode: full duplex

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for dust or damage before installation and clean if necessary using appropriate fiber cleaning tools. Insert the SC connector into an SC adapter or port until it clicks and align and insert the ST connector into the corresponding ST receptacle, twisting the bayonet coupling to secure it. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Verify link status and optical signal levels with compatible test equipment after installation.

Recommendations

For stable performance, keep connectors capped when unused, use fiber-specific cleaning wipes or pens before mating, and avoid routing the cable near high-EMI sources. Use cable management accessories to prevent kinks and maintain minimum bend radius; replace the cable if connector endfaces show scratches or persistent loss.
