Cavo in fibra ottica ShiverPeaks 77912/4 10m SC ST viola

The ShiverPeaks 77912/4 10m SC ST Violet is an OM4 multimode fibre optic patch cable designed for high-speed data links. It has a 50 µm core diameter and supports full duplex transmission via SC and ST connectors on each end. The violet jacket color helps with quick identification in dense cabling environments and the 10 m length provides flexible connectivity between network equipment, panels and active devices.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre cable offers low attenuation and high bandwidth performance for short- to medium-range connections. The combination of SC and ST connectors ensures compatibility with equipment using either connector type, simplifying integration in mixed environments. Its standardized 50 µm core and multimode construction support reliable multimode laser-based signalling and maintain consistent performance across typical data centre and enterprise networking setups.

Suitable for

• Data centre lateral and horizontal cabling where multimode OM4 performance is required
• Interconnection between switches, routers, media converters and patch panels
• Short to medium distance high-speed links in enterprise networks
• Laboratory and test environments requiring identifiable coloured patch leads

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 10 m
• Connector types: SC on one end, ST on the other
• Duplex mode: Full duplex
• Jacket colour: Violet

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for contamination before making connections and clean with an appropriate fibre cleaning tool if necessary. Route the cable following bend-radius guidelines and avoid excessive pulling force. Insert the SC and ST connectors into the corresponding ports until they engage securely. For duplex operation, ensure transmit and receive channels are correctly paired between devices. After installation, verify link status and perform optical loss or continuity testing to confirm performance.

Recommendations

Store the cable coiled without tight loops, maintain minimum bend radius specified for multimode fibre, and avoid exposing the cable to sharp edges or high tensile loads. Use fibre-specific cleaning supplies before each mating and perform optical tests after installation to ensure expected OM4 performance.
