Cavo in fibra ottica ShiverPeaks BS07-530515 5 m

The ShiverPeaks BS07-530515 5m OM5 fibre optic cable with LC and SC connectors is designed to provide high-speed, full-duplex data transmission for network environments. With a 50 µm core diameter and a 5 metre length, this cable connects optical equipment using LC and SC terminations and is intended for short- to medium-range links where OM5 multimode fibre is appropriate. The cable construction focuses on consistent signal quality and physical durability to support continuous operation in data centres and structured cabling systems.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre cable supports full duplex communication and is optimized for multimode optical transmission with a 50 µm core, enabling reliable high-bandwidth links. The combination of LC and SC connectors ensures compatibility with a wide range of transceivers, panels and devices commonly used in telecommunications and IT infrastructure. Its 5 metre length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-panel connections while the multimode design reduces modal dispersion over short distances compared to single-mode alternatives.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between network switches, servers and patch panels in data centres
• Short-reach multimode links in enterprise LAN and campus networks
• Upgrading or extending existing multimode fibre runs requiring LC-to-SC termination
• Test setups and lab environments where a 5 m fibre jumper is needed

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector types: LC to SC
• Length: 5 m
• Transmission mode: Full duplex

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for contamination before installation and clean them if necessary with appropriate fibre cleaning tools. Route the cable following site bend-radius guidelines and secure it to avoid sharp bends or strain. Plug the LC connector into the LC port and the SC connector into the corresponding SC port on the equipment or patch panel, ensuring firm engagement until the connectors click or lock. Verify signal and link status using network diagnostics or optical test equipment after connection.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable to avoid excessive bending or crushing; maintain a minimum bend radius as specified by multimode fibre handling standards. Use this cable for short- to medium-range multimode connections and pair it with compatible OM5-rated transceivers and patch panels to achieve optimal performance.
