Cavo in fibra ottica ShiverPeaks BS77921 1 m SC arancione

The ShiverPeaks BS77921 1m SC Orange is an OM2 multimode fibre optic patch cable with SC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for short- to medium-range network links, this cable supports full duplex transmission and is suitable for structured cabling in data centres, telecom racks and enterprise networks. The bright orange jacket makes cable identification and routing straightforward in equipment rows and patch panels.

Advantages

This OM2 fibre cable provides stable high-speed data transfer over multimode links and supports full duplex communication for simultaneous transmit and receive channels. The SC connectors offer reliable, push-pull mating and are compatible with standard SC ports used in networking equipment. The 1 metre length reduces excess slack, helping maintain tidy cable management, while the durable orange jacket protects the fibre and improves visibility.

Suitable for

• Short-range optical links in data centres and server rooms
• Patch panel and rack connections requiring SC connectors
• Enterprise LAN backbones and telecommunication closets
• Equipment interconnects where rapid identification is needed

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM2 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC, duplex
• Length: 1 metre
• Jacket colour: Orange
• Transmission mode: Full duplex

How to use

Connect each SC connector to corresponding SC ports on the devices or patch panels, ensuring proper orientation until the connectors click into place. Use one fibre for transmit and the other for receive to establish full duplex communication. Route the cable along cable trays or within cable management panels to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress. Verify link integrity with appropriate network diagnostics or optical test equipment after installation.

Recommendations

Avoid bending the cable beyond its minimum bend radius and protect connector end faces from dust and contamination; use dust caps when connectors are not mated. For best optical performance, inspect and clean SC end faces before connection and maintain cable routing to prevent kinks or sharp bends.
