Cavo in fibra ottica Tecline 799SS02 SC OS2 2 m giallo

The Tecline 799SS02 SC OS2 2 m Yellow fibre optic cable is a single-mode patch cord designed for reliable high-speed data transmission over short to medium distances. It uses OS2 grade optical fibre with a 9 µm core diameter and SC connectors on both ends to provide full duplex communication in structured cabling systems. The bright yellow jacket improves visibility and cable identification in racks and trenches, making installation and maintenance more efficient.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable delivers low attenuation and stable signal performance typical of OS2 single-mode fibres, supporting high-bandwidth links for networking equipment. The SC connectors ensure straightforward insertion and secure mechanical connection in compatible sockets. The 2 m length offers a convenient balance between flexibility and minimal excess slack in data center and telecommunication setups. The yellow outer jacket aids visual management and reduces the risk of accidental disconnection during routine work.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting switches, transceivers and patch panels in data centers
• Telecommunications backbone links and equipment cabinets
• FTTx distribution points and single-mode optical networks
• Laboratory testbeds and short in-building runs where SC interfaces are used

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OS2 single-mode
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC (both ends)
• Cable length: 2 m
• Jacket colour: Yellow
• Mode: Single-mode, duplex

How to use

Inspect connector end-faces and clean them with a suitable fibre optic cleaning tool before insertion to avoid signal loss. Align each SC connector with the corresponding socket and push gently until it clicks into place; ensure both ends are securely seated for full duplex operation. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and secure it with cable management accessories to prevent stress on the fibre. For removal, press the SC release mechanism and pull straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule.

Recommendations

Store the cable coiled without sharp bends and avoid exceeding the minimum bend radius specified by industry standards. Use dust caps when connectors are not in use. For optimal performance in critical links, perform optical power and return loss tests after installation.
