Cavo InfiniBand/fibra ottica BlueOptics 980-9I13N-00C030-BO QSFP28 AOC 30 m blu

The BlueOptics 980-9I13N-00C030-BO QSFP28 AOC is a 30 m active optical cable designed for InfiniBand and high-speed fibre applications. Featuring QSFP28 connectors on both ends, this blue cable supports low-latency, high-throughput links between switches, servers and network appliances. The cable's active optical construction reduces electrical interference and heat compared with equivalent copper assemblies, while the durable jacket and stainless-steel connector components help maintain signal integrity in rack and data centre deployments.

Advantages

This BlueOptics QSFP28 AOC delivers consistent high-speed transmission over a 30 m reach with low latency and stable signal quality. Its active optical design ensures reduced electromagnetic interference and lower power dissipation at the link compared with long copper solutions. The blue jacket aids rapid identification and cable management in dense installations, and stainless-steel connector parts improve mechanical durability and connection reliability.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between QSFP28 ports on switches and routers
• High-performance computing and InfiniBand clusters
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch links in data centres
• Environments requiring low latency and high throughput for storage or compute

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Length: 30 m
• Connectors: QSFP28 to QSFP28
• Colour: Blue with stainless-steel connector parts
• Typical use: InfiniBand and high-speed fibre interconnects
• Weight: approximately 0.15 kg

How to use

Ensure both devices support QSFP28 interfaces and are powered down or follow hot-plug instructions per equipment manufacturer before connecting. Align and insert the QSFP28 plugs into the compatible ports until the latch engages, taking care not to bend or kink the cable along its 30 m length. If used in a live environment, verify link status and port diagnostics on connected equipment after insertion. For removal, release the connector latch and withdraw straight to avoid stressing the cable or port.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and reduce strain on connector ends; maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the equipment vendor. Use color-coded cable management to identify this blue QSFP28 link and avoid mixing with differing link types. Follow manufacturer guidance for hot-plugging and ESD precautions when handling optical active cables.
