Cavo InfiniBand/fibra ottica BlueOptics 980-9I13Y-00E030-BO QSFP28 AOC 30 m blu

The BlueOptics 980-9I13Y-00E030-BO QSFP28 AOC 30 m Blue is a 30-metre active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP28 connectors on both ends, designed for high-speed InfiniBand and fibre optic network links. The cable supports reliable data transmission over short to medium distances in data centres and network rooms. Its blue jacket and stainless steel elements provide a robust exterior while maintaining the flexibility needed for rack and switch deployments.

Advantages

This QSFP28 AOC offers low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity suitable for 100GbE and comparable InfiniBand speeds. As an active optical cable, it eliminates the need for separate transceivers and reduces power consumption and heat compared with equivalent copper assemblies. The 30 m length covers typical inter-rack connections, and the stainless steel-reinforced design improves durability and handling during installation and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Inter-rack connections in data centres and server rooms
• High-performance computing clusters using InfiniBand
• Switch-to-switch or switch-to-server links requiring QSFP28
• Environments needing a 30 m optical link with low latency

Key specifications

• Cable length: 30 m
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Connectors: QSFP28 to QSFP28
• Typical applications: InfiniBand and 100GbE-class fibre links
• Weight: 0.15 kg
• Exterior: blue jacket with stainless steel elements

How to use

Install the BlueOptics QSFP28 AOC by inserting the QSFP28 connectors into compatible QSFP28 ports on switches, NICs or InfiniBand adapters. Ensure both ends are fully seated and any retention mechanisms are engaged. Route the cable to avoid tight bends; observe the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for AOCs. No separate transceivers or additional power connections are required. After connection, verify link status and speed in the network device management interface.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable. Keep the optical connector area clean and handle the QSFP28 plugs by their housing. Use this 30 m AOC for inter-rack or similar mid-range links where low latency and high throughput are required. Confirm compatibility with your switches and adapters supporting QSFP28 modules before deployment.
