Cavo InfiniBand/fibra ottica Telegärtner 2 m 12x SC multicolore

The Telegärtner InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 2 m 12x SC Multicolour is a factory-terminated OM4 multimode fibre assembly designed for high-density connectivity in data centres and enterprise networks. With twelve SC connectors on each end and a 2 metre jacket length, this cable supports high-speed InfiniBand and fibre-optic links while the multicolour jacket scheme simplifies identification and cable management in complex rack environments.

Advantages

This cable provides low insertion loss and controlled attenuation consistent with OM4 multimode specifications, enabling reliable short-reach high-bandwidth transmission. The twelve parallel fibres in a single compact assembly reduce rack clutter and simplify installation compared with multiple separate jumpers. Colour-coded jackets allow quick visual identification of individual fibres or channels, improving troubleshooting and reducing the risk of mispatching.

Suitable for

• High-density InfiniBand links in data centres
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch multimode fibre connections
• Parallel optics applications such as 40/100/200 GBASE or similar parallel interfaces
• Cable management where quick visual identification is required

Key specifications

• Cable length: 2 m
• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Connector type: 12 × SC (parallel connector set)
• Jacket: multicolour identification scheme
• Configuration: 12-fibre parallel assembly
• Typical application range: short-reach, high-bandwidth links

How to use

Route the 2 m cable between the intended transceivers or patch panels, ensuring connectors are clean and free from dust before mating. Align SC connectors with the corresponding adapter or port and insert until a positive stop is felt. Avoid sharp bends and maintain the manufacturer's minimum bend radius for OM4 multimode fibre to preserve optical performance. For parallel optics, verify correct mapping of the twelve fibres to their corresponding transmit and receive lanes according to system documentation.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a dust-free environment when possible; use dust caps on unused connectors. Use colour coding to document link topology in your rack diagrams. Periodically inspect connector endfaces with a fibre inspection tool and clean with approved fibre cleaning products to maintain low insertion loss and stable link performance.
