Cavo networking Dätwyler Cables 21.05.0531 rosso 3 m Cat6a S/FTP

The Dätwyler Cables 21.05.0531 Red 3 m Cat6a S/FTP is a 3-meter Ethernet patch cable designed for high-bandwidth network connections. Built to Cat6a specification with S/FTP (shielded foil around pairs with overall braided shield) construction and fitted with RJ-45 connectors at both ends, this cable supports reliable data transmission and reduced electromagnetic interference. The red jacket provides easy visual identification in dense cabling environments and helps organise network runs in home or office installations.

Advantages

The Cat6a S/FTP construction offers higher frequency support and improved crosstalk protection compared with lower category cables, resulting in stable throughput for demanding applications. Robust RJ-45 terminations ensure consistent contact and minimal signal loss at the connector interface. The 3 m length is suitable for short to medium patching runs while the colored jacket aids in physical cable management and quick troubleshooting.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, switches, routers and patch panels in local networks
• High-bandwidth applications such as HD video streaming, VoIP and online gaming
• Server room patching and structured cabling short links
• Home offices and small business network setups requiring clear cable identification

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (foil around pairs and braided overall shield)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Length: 3 m
• Conductor: twisted-pair copper (solid or stranded variant as per manufacturer design)
• Colour: red

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device (PC, switch, router or patch panel) and the other connector into the corresponding port on the network equipment. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Avoid tight bends near the connectors and route the cable to prevent interference from power lines or heat sources. For permanent installations, verify link status and speed on connected equipment to confirm proper operation.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6a S/FTP cable for short to medium-length patching where improved shielding and higher bandwidth are required. Label both ends if used in multi-cable bundles and maintain bend radius guidelines to preserve performance. Test the connection after installation to confirm gigabit or multi-gigabit link speeds as supported by your devices.
