Cavo ottico attivo AOC Lanview MO-SFP-AOC-10G-7M-AL 10G SFP+ 7m

Lanview MO-SFP-AOC-10G-7M-AL is an active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links at a fixed length of 7 meters. The cable integrates optical transceivers and a multimode fiber assembly in a single plug-and-play unit, providing low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity for switches, servers and storage in data center and high-performance networking environments. The SFP+ form factor ensures compatibility with host ports that accept SFP+ modules and supports direct short-reach fiber connections without separate transceivers.

Advantages

The active optical design reduces power consumption compared with some electrical DAC options over longer short-reach distances, while maintaining consistent 10G throughput and low latency. Plug-and-play operation simplifies installation and lowers the risk of mismatched transceivers; there is no separate module or patching required. The 7 m fixed length avoids excess cable slack and helps manage rack-to-rack or row-to-row connections in structured cabling layouts.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack and end-of-row switch interconnects in data centers
• High-performance server-to-switch links
• Storage area network (SAN) connections and clustered storage nodes
• Short-reach fiber runs where SFP+ ports are available

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ to SFP+ active optical cable
• Data rate: 10 Gigabit Ethernet
• Length: 7 meters (fixed)
• Connector type: SFP+ form factor
• Use case: Short-reach optical interconnect for networking equipment
• Latency: low, suitable for high-performance networking

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on your network devices until it latches. Confirm link status through the device management interface or LED indicators. No separate transceiver modules or fiber patch cords are required; the cable is a single integrated assembly. For initial deployment, verify compatibility with the host device vendor’s supported SFP+ AOC list or port documentation to ensure interoperability.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid tight bends and maintain bend-radius guidelines for optical assemblies. Avoid placing the cable where it may be pinched by sliding rails or heavy equipment. For reliable operation, use the cable within the specified 7 m length and ensure SFP+ ports are configured for 10G operation on both ends.
